What KitchooK! is

KitchooK! turns a folder of Markdown recipes and colocated images into a portable static cookbook. It validates recipes, renders pages, generates search and a JSON recipe export, and writes ordinary files that any static host can serve.

Your recipe collection is the durable product. KitchooK! is a versioned, replaceable view over it.

  • No application server: production is HTML, assets, JSON, and optimized images.
  • No required service: Git, Docker, GitHub Actions, and any particular host are optional.
  • Private by default: use a private content directory or repository; do not put recipes in a public fork.
